Day 11, and the Air Force Children's party

Day 11- Kay in the box her snowman came in from Grandma Tracy

KayLeigh got to open a Christmas present today, from Grandma Tracy! She was excited to rip one open, and not have me yell at her lol. She got a snowman thats almost as tall as her, and it plays music and has snowglobes for a belly, its pretty neat, and she likes it a lot. I took a video but the website is being really stupid and won't upload it, so I'll have to try it on a different blog, and maybe on firefox instead of google chrome...but anyways, today was a fun day. Mat had to get up early to drive someone to the airport, but he was a wonderful husband and brought me home starbucks from one of the two Starbucks in all of Belgium!! yum! So my day started out pretty great! I let kay open a present, and she played with that for a while, she made it play music so much I had to recharge the batteries lol. We got dressed once Mat got home and headed to base to help set up for the Air Force Christmas party. We helped set up the food and stuff and hung out with our friends until the party started, ate some tasty food, its always better when I don't have to cook it lol. Although I did make some cupcakes, luckily most of those got eaten at the party! Santa came to the party, and he gave out presents, KayLeigh was not thrilled by him... she hated him in fact lol. We tried twice, to see if she would warm up to him... not even a chance! But she ran around and ate a bunch, and played in the bouncy house with Mat...so i think she had a pretty good time, minus santa! She got a Big Bird stacking toy, that she seems to like pretty well, anything to do with sesame street usually goes over pretty well with her. After the party, we went over to Mat's supervisor's house and had a Christmas dinner with him, and another family. We had a really good time over there too. Another meal that I didn't have to cook! :) KayLeigh fell asleep in the car for a little while in between parties, and was unhappy for the first part of dinner, but the other family's daughter, who is about 16, started to play with her, and Kay just thought she was the best thing ever. After dinner we drove to SHAPE to look at...our new car! We're buying a new to us car anyways. A 2007 suzuki XL7, its really nice! Good price, good shape, 7 seats, fancy inside, we love it! We drove that around base for a while, and now we've just got to get all the paperwork finalized, sucks that tomorrow is Monday, because everything on the American base, including our bank, is closed!! So we have to wait on that, and we'll have to wait a while for plates and registration, but waiting is nothing new in Belgium, you have to wait for everything here... But we are super excited, and we'll have a car to carry around all the family that is coming to visit next year!
We have had a very busy week, and I think I'm finally going to get a chance to relax and clean the house a bit tomorrow, hopefully!! I love you all, hope you're sunday was a good one!
